Matt Ryan, former Heisman candidate, leads the #18 BC Eagles in a HUGE ACC match-up at Clemson tonight.  A win for BC would put them in their first ACC championship game ever, and a possible BCS bowl bid.

So it’s over.  The Ryan for Heisman campaign was officially ended last Saturday night.  In a cold and wet Alumni Stadium, The then ranked #2 BC Eagles lost a heart-breaker to unranked Florida State 27-17.  And even though our hero Ryan threw for 2 TD’s and 415 yards, he ended up tossing THREE, yes THREE interceptions.  Three bad interceptions.  Heisman winners don’t throw 11 interceptions on the season, which is how many #12 has now.

Not all is lost for Ryan and his #8 Eagles.  They now shift their sights to winning out and securing a spot in the ACC championship game, and a BCS bowl berth.  The trek continues tonight at Maryland at 8PM on ABC.

What really grinds my gears

This is has been a big day for Boston Sports, lets just recap and get my thoughts about some things.

Well the Red Sox, what can you say. They beat the Rockies in game 1 by bashing them, and then Game 2 they win a tight game, and each time the pitching looked great. You got to believe that Okijimia is one of the best relievers in the game, he looked so gross last night. Is this the last time we see Schilling in an appearance for the Sox?

Then of course there are the Boston College Eagles. Down 10-0 with 2:11 to go in the game, Matt Ryan drives them down the field scores a TD, and then the Special teams come up huge. So Matty Heisman throws another TD on 3 and 20, winning the game. One thing about this game, it was awful, both teams didn’t look great, it was down pouring, even though someone on ESPN.com said that it was VERY lightly raining, what game he was watching I will never know.

You know what really grinds my gears though, behind the cut you will know
